Soren “Bjergsen” Bjerg has ended any speculation about his free agency. The League of Legends mid laner has re-signed with Team SoloMid for 2 years reports Gene Park of the Washington Post. Bjergsen has also become a part owner of the League of Legends team. He is the first player-owner that did not found his own team.
Blizzard has cancelled a launch event at the NYC Nintendo store for the launch of Overwatch on Switch. The Nintendo NYC twitter account made the announcement here.
Rocket League is considering a move to a franchise model for its esports series. Adam Stern at The Esports Observer has the story. “While the league is considering a franchise model similar to what’s been used for games such as Call of Duty, League of Legends, and Overwatch, Dunham was careful to point out that Psyonix sees both pros and cons to the idea. He would not put a timeline on making a decision.”
