Studies:
Let’s talk gaming demographics. Fullscreen defined “Power Gamers” in its new study as the 63% of gamers “[who] play 10+ hours per week on console/PC.” Of that 63%, 31% are ages 34-44, a third are female and 42% are parents. The study is titled “The Rise Of The Modern Gamer: Today’s Trendsetter.”
China’s “console & TV-based games market” is “projected to reach $736 million in 2018,” Niko Partners reports. “We anticipate 24.37 million gamers who play consoles and TV-based games by 2022, essentially doubling from 2018.”
CD Projekt Red announced this morning that “Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment will be responsible for the distribution and promotion of Cyberpunk 2077 in North America, and will bring the game to PC, PlayStation®4 and Xbox One” in a press release.
