A third fighter is being dragged into the ring in the Apple vs. Epic lawsuit. Apple has subpoenaed Valve Software as part of their ongoing efforts to thwart Epic’s lawsuit. Apple is demanding Valve provide huge amounts of commercial data about Steam sales and operations going over multiple years. Why is Valve getting roped in? Well, their store platform Steam is a direct competitor to Epic’s Game Store. To answer the obvious question, no Valve is not thrilled with these developments.
