Xbox came in 1st for ad spend in February, VentureBeat’s Eleanor Semeraro reports. “Xbox accounted for over half (53.6 percent) of gaming industry TV spend … Spending picked up in February with an estimated total of $41.6 million spent on TV commercials by gaming brands. Overall, 19 brands ran 54 spots more than 11,300 times, generating over 2.4 billion TV ad impressions.”
Panda TV has entered bankruptcy proceedings, TEO’s Hongyu Chen reports. “The cover page of Panda TV’s official Weibo page has changed to an image of its panda mascot facing a sunset, alongside the word ‘Bye.’ The reasons behind this bankruptcy have not yet been officially published.”

Partnerships:
Cloud9 and BMW are partnering, according to an announcement tweet.
Sharkoon Technologies and Eintracht Frankfurt are partnering “to provide the gaming peripherals for their esports division,” Esports Insider’s Thomas Lace reports. “The partnership between the two will see Sharkoon equipping the Frankfurt Virtual Bundesliga (VBL) with the latest gear and their trademark SKILLER SGS4 gaming seats.”
