There has been speculation for weeks now that the coronavirus may impact game and console manufacturing. Industry analysts have been speculating that we will see a lot of delays due to work conditions and manufacturing delays. Both Sony and Microsoft have confirmed that we should probably expect delays for first party studio games, and even possibly next gen consoles. It’s important to note that no official announcements of delays have been made, but both companies’ PR teams are clearly trying to get ahead of the situation at hand. Nintendo dropped a very stealthy “Mini Direct” yesterday. The roughly half hour long Direct included details from a few new games and some updates on old ones. Highlights include: The best of 2K library, Bioshock, Borderlands and XCOM is coming to Switch; The next Super Smash Bros. Ultimate characters will be from the ARMS series; New updates on the first Pokémon Sword & Shield expansion pass.
