Three of the biggest names on Twitch have re-signed exclusivity deals with the platform. Jaryd “Summit1G” Lazar, Brett “Dakotaz” Hoffman, and Josh “JoshOG” Beaver all signed new multi-year agreements that encompass content and partnerships beyond streaming. The three creators are some of the oldest names in streaming, and some of the best performers as well. Noah Smith at The Washington Post has the full story.
BlizzCon 2020 has been cancelled. It will be replaced by an online event that Blizzard is hoping will take place in early 2021. This will also impact the esports events that take place at BlizzCon each year including the Overwatch World Cup, Starcraft World Championships and events in Hearthstone and World of Warcraft among others. IGN has given more detail on the schedule of their Summer of Gaming event. As part of the event the IGN Expo will take place on June 5th and the 8th and 9th. IGN Expo will be a showcase for exclusive announcements and reveals from developers across the industry.
