Today is your last day to get Alan Wake for a whopping $3 on Steam. The game’s soundtrack license expires starting tomorrow, and that’s forcing the game off of Steam and any other online stores. Engadget’s Tim Seppala reports that “The delisting also applies to the Xbox 360 version that’s available on the Xbox Store … Remedy stresses that no, the delisting won’t remove the game from your Steam or Xbox libraries, the developer just can’t continue to sell it.”
Dan Ayoub has left 343 Industries. He was with 343 for almost a decade working on the Halo franchise, but decided to depart after Halo Wars 2 was released. Ayoub is not leaving Microsoft entirely, though; he is moving to the Mixed Reality division, reports Polygon’s Owen S. Good. “343 announced Ayoub’s departure in a farewell message on the Halo Waypoint blog. He had been the studio’s head of strategy game development,” Good writes. “Additionally, 343 Industries has indicted to fans that Halo 6 news is not in the works for E3 2017 next month.”
