The Entertainment Software Association “has partnered with Red Bull Media House on ‘We Are’, a new initiative with the goal of empowering women in the games industry,” GI.biz’s Matthew Handrahan writes. “We Are originated as a ‘travelling photo gallery’ that documented the experiences and contributions of women in the games industry in 2017.”
Blizzard reintroduced Heroes of the Storm revenue integration on Twitch, Esports Insider’s Adam Fitch reports. “First launched for the Heroes Global Championship – the professional league for Heroes of the Storm – in 2017, this integration had been missing for much of the 2018 season.”
Keywords Studios acquired Blindlight, Gamasutra’s Chris Kerr reports. “Founded back in 2001, Blindlight works on behalf of game publishers and developers to oversee certain aspects of production, including voiceovers, celebrity acquisition, rights management, motion capture, writing, and sound design.”
David Banner, co-founder of Wales Interactive, has been appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List,” Handrahan reports.
