PAX has officially announced that PAX West will not take place this year. However, they also announced a new event, PAX Online, that will replace it. The event will take place from September 12th through the 20th, and will run for 24 hours a day. “PAX Online is the result of the convention-organizing supergroup made up of the people responsible for PAX West, PAX Australia, as well as our new friends at EGX to create our new PAX Online and deliver a steady 24/7 stream of content, events, discussions, and gameplay.” You can find more information on the event website.
In case your morning wasn’t going well enough, Pokémon has got you covered. In a Pokémon Presents! presentation, President and CEO of The Pokémon Company, Tsunekazu Ishihara announced a few new games. (Excuse me while I take my professionalism hat off for a second) One of which is a new Pokémon Snap. *Clears throat* POG! Okay, I’m back now. The Steam Game Festival has begun. From now until June 22nd, gamers around the world will have access to over 900 playable demos, developer livestreams and original developer interviews.
