Ubisoft announced more than 100 games for Uplay+, VentureBeat’s Dean Takahashi reports. “Players who sign up for Uplay+ now will be able to access a free trial of Uplay+ from September 3 to September 30. At launch, the service will include more than 40 premium editions, meaning you’ll not only get the base game, but also additional content, expansions, and DLC.”
Tencent launched an app that allows users to stream PC games to their phones. “The app allows users to stream their WeGame library directly to their iOS or Android device. However, at present it only supports League of Legends and auto-chess mode, Teamfight Tactics,” GI.biz’s Haydn Taylor reports.
Merge Games is starting a “$4 million warchest to help the funding and advertising of indie titles,” VentureBeat’s Mike Minotti writes.
Publisher Private Division and developer The Outsiders are going their different ways, Taylor writes. “All evidence of its previous partnership with The Outsiders has been scrubbed, and the studio doesn’t currently have a website.”
