Epic Games may have connected with a solid left hook on Apple, but Apple came back with an uppercut. Apple is revoking Epic’s permissions to develop tools for iOS and Mac on August 28th. Not only does this prohibit updates to Fortnite on iOS, but it could impact every game that uses Epic’s Unreal Engine game creation tools. Epic has filed a motion to stop this retaliation from Apple, which you can read here. That means many other game developers can potentially be hurt by this action. Game developer Rocksteady should be in the news because of the upcoming announcement of their Suicide Squad game. Now the studio is in the news for a much different reason. Alex Hern at The Guardian has learned that the studio received a letter from more than half of the women working at the studio two years ago alleging sexual misconduct in the workplace. The letter has now gone public after the anonymous leaker claimed that these problems have not gone away.
