Ninja is back on Twitch. The content creator has re-signed with the streaming platform on a multi-year deal that will keep him on Twitch for the foreseeable future. That now marks the return of Ninja and Shroud, both of the huge profile names that originally left for Microsoft’s now defunct streaming platform Mixer, to Twitch. Natalie Jarvey at The Hollywood Reporter has the exclusive story.
Yesterday’s Ubisoft Forward brought lots of interesting updates for Ubisoft’s fall slate of games and beyond. Some of the big highlights include a Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake, more info on the upcoming Immortals Fenyx Rising (formerly known as Gods & Monsters), and an announcement involving some new Rainbow Six Esports which you can find more details of in the esports section. You can find the full show and details here.
Twitch is making another effort to make esports accessible. Twitch Rivals, the somewhat casual tournament series featuring people’s favorite content creators playing some of the most popular games out there, consistently pulls good numbers and has been a success so far. Now, Twitch has unveiled a new esports beta program called Versus. Versus is “an end-to-end suite of competition tools for organizers, players, and viewers from all different backgrounds and experience levels. Competition organizers can quickly and easily create, manage, and stream competitions with their communities of players and viewers – all integrated on Twitch.” The full announcement can be found here.
