The Witcher showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich said goodbye to Twitter “when an unconfirmed casting call for the show suggested that the casting director was looking for a non-white actress for Ciri, Geralt’s adopted daughter,” Game Informer’s Imran Khan reports. “Witcher fans, or people purporting to be Witcher fans, called out Hissrich for trying to change the character’s race.”

Guy “Dr DisRespect” Beahm is resuming his streaming scheduling after police determined someone shot at his house twice in two days with a BB gun from a nearby park.

GAME cut additional jobs, GI.biz’s Christopher Dring reports. “The firm continues to cut back in the face of a difficult UK retail landscape … [It] has been reorganising its internal teams to cope with a drop in physical retail sales and a reduction in store count.”

Singularity 6 raised $2.5 million “in seed investment from London Venture Partners to build a game studio,” VentureBeat’s Dean Takahashi reports.
