In a shock to absolutely no one, the demand for next gen consoles is going to be very high when they launch in a couple of weeks. Sony says, in fact, that the demand for the PlayStation 5 will be so high that “It may well be that not everybody who wants to buy a PS5 on launch day will be able to find one,” Jim Ryan, CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment said in an interview. Okay everybody, PLEASE don’t shoot the messenger, but Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed again. CD Projekt Red announced that the game’s release date will be pushed back three weeks to December 10th. The Polish developer cited having the game ready on both console generations as well as PC as the main issue for the delay. You can find the full announcement here.

100 Thieves is reportedly purchasing the LA Call of Duty League (CDL) franchise slot. The spot previously held by Optic Gaming Los Angeles has been through quite the journey over the past few weeks. Immortals Gaming Club, who had bought the Optic Gaming brand, sold the brand back to its original founder Hector Rodriguez. Rodriguez is now part of the ownership group and is the CEO of NRG which owns the Chicago CDL spot. It’s unclear how the circus of possible rebranding may go for both spots. Cloud gaming, meet Facebook. You can count tech giant Facebook among the other many tech giants that are now making their plays into the cloud gaming space. The games will be playable in browser through your Facebook account. Facebook says that they’re “not trying to replace your favorite gaming hardware” and that they will start with what they do best, free to play games.
