Research firms Gartner and IDC say the PC market “is still in decline,” VentureBeat’s Emil Protalinski writes. They “estimated the exact same number of PC shipments: 58.5 million in Q1 2019. Gartner and IDC also both found PC shipments were down globally year-over-year. So far, 2019 looks like more of the same.”
Troy Baker, the voice actor behind Tales from Borderlands, isn’t happy with Gearbox. “‘I don’t agree with [Gearbox] on how they’re handling it…I really want Gearbox to know that if they’re going to bring back characters from Tales From The Borderlands. it should be the people who originated the characters,’” he said, according to Game Informer’s Javy Gwaltney. Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford then chimed in on Twitter, saying “‘I was told by the audio director that he turned it down. Fortunately, with how Rhys appears in the game, I don’t think it actually matters at all.’”
Lightstream acquired “streaming monetization platform GameWisp’s technology to help bolster its Lightstream Studio toolset,” GI.biz’s Rebekah Valentine reports.
