Facebook is planning on introducing the Facebook Gaming Mobile App sometime today. The app is designed largely for creating and watching live gameplay battling Amazon’s Twitch, Google’s YouTube, and Microsoft’s Mixer services. The app will also be for playing mobile games through the Facebook Gaming platform. Seth Schiesel at The New York Times has more.
San Diego Comic-Con has officially been cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak. This is the first time in the 50 year history of the event that it has been cancelled. The full press release can be found here.
“Extraordinary times require extraordinary measures and while we are saddened to take this action, we know it is the right decision,” said David Glanzer, spokesperson for the organization. “We eagerly look forward to the time when we can all meet again and share in the community we all love and enjoy.”
