Market research firm, NewZoo has published its latest Global Games Market Report. The company projects that the world’s 2.7 billion gamers will spend $159.3 billion on games in 2020. With everyone stuck at home, you would think that TV ad spends for the month of April would be sky high. You would be wrong. Although Nintendo and Playstation lead the way, overall spending was down. Nintendo usually leads the pack of the major game companies for TV ad spend, but they slashed their budget from $14.6 million in March to $6.5 million in April.
