EA CEO Andrew Wilson sat down with Glixel before the company’s Saturday presser and spoke at length about what to expect from EA in the coming years. “‘We put out fewer games but they’re played far more hours and over many more platforms by ten times the number of people than when I started 18 years ago,'” he told Glixel’s John Davison. “Audiences stay loyal to a single game and keep pulling new experiences from it. This is happening because games are starting to follow the same pattern we’ve seen with music, Wilson believes. ‘100 years ago, listening to music was a discrete experience. You’d put on a tuxedo and you’d go out to listen to the orchestra or the opera.'”
Injustice 2’s final tournament will be in partnership with Eleague, according to Stephanie Chan at Venture Beat. “Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment launched the Injustice 2 Championship Series last month with a $600,000 prize pool. The series is comprised of several smaller tournaments … The Eleague Injustice 2 World Championship will start on Oct. 21 with an open qualifier, and the grand prize up for grabs is $250,000. It can be seen on TBS.”
