Xbox One X will have at least a year to itself before PlayStation 5 rolls around. Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter told GamingBolt’s Rashid Sayed that he believes “the PS5 will be backwards compatible with PS4 Pro (which also means that it will play base PS4 games) and it will probably release in 2019.” We’re going to bite out lip on that “backwards compatible” bit.
Careful, there be scammers in these woods. Itch.io, “an indie-focused digital distribution platform,” is being abused to sell pirated games that dupe unsuspecting buyers out of their money.
“‘A scammer created a handful of accounts on our system and uploaded pirated games to it. Due to the nature of being an ‘open marketplace’ we don’t have a forced review before allowing people to publish. We were made aware of the scammer by the community and through our own internal review, and we removed the content as soon as we discovered it,'” the site said, according to PC Gamer’s Andy Chalk. “‘As with all scammers we suspend their accounts immediately, ban their payment information from the system, and ban those files from being sold.'”
