The Game Awards have announced their return on December 10th. The pinnacle of gaming award shows will simulcast from three different worldwide locations: Los Angeles, London and Tokyo. All of these locations will have no live audience due to COVID-19. You can expect to still have all of your favorite things from the show, including big reveals, big personalities and oh, lots and lots of games that will bring us all together. He’s baaaaack. Mike Morhaime has returned to create a new company called Dreamhaven, which will create and publish original games. The company has already established its first two studios: Moonshot and Secret Door. Both are headed up by industry, and more specifically Blizzard, veterans. Many of these industry vets had reportedly grown tired of the growing influence Activision had over Blizzard, and decided it was time to start over. Speaking of Blizzard, it appears that we have a new date for the next BlizzCon. BlizzCon, or should I say BlizzConline, is set to take place on February 19th-20th, 2021. “While circumstances are keeping us from gathering in person this year, we’re putting together a little something early next year to channel the spirit of BlizzCon into the form of an online show.” The full update can be found here.
