Denial Esports CEO Robby Ringnalda is under pressure from a joint effort between Morrison/Lee and ESG Law for repeated breached contracts with players. Here’s a portion of the joint statement the law firms put out: “For the past several months, ESG Law and Morrison/Lee have joined forced to represent several members of the former Denial Esports CS:GO team to resolve issues resulting from Denial’s breaches of contract…”

The Story Mob announced today the launching of its new talent vertical. It will offer “publicist services for top esports broadcast talent and influencers,” according to a press release. Signed talent include Alex “Machine” Richardson; Anders “Anders” Blume; Chad “Spunj” Burchill; Henry “HenryG” Greer; Jason “Moses” O’Toole and Tres “Stunna” Saranthus.

Henry Cavill will play Geralt of Rivia for Netflix’s upcoming show.

Tencent suspended community manager Nick Zasowski “has been suspended from his job pending a full investigation into multiple claims of sexual harassment,” GI.biz’s Rebekah Valentine reports. “Zasowski has closed his various social media accounts, though his handle on Twitter was picked up by an unknown party that has used the account to share Sylvester’s original tweet.”

NBA 2K19 senior producer Rob Jones acknowledged the “unfortunate reality” that is loot boxes in an interview with Trusted Reviews. “When asked about this, Rob Jones responded by saying that ‘VC is an unfortunate reality of modern gaming.’”

Japan Football Association (JFA) and the Japan Esports Union (JeSU) are partnering “to co-host an esports competition in 2019 around the National Sports Festival in the Ibaraki prefecture,” Esports Insider’s Lydia Mitrevski reports.

The Collegiate StarLeague “announced Tuesday $175,000 in scholarships for its 2018-2019 season, including its new battle royale division. Registration opened on Tuesday,” ESPN’s Jacob Wolf reports.

Megafans introduced the prototype for a mobile games esports tournament platform, Esports Insider’s Melany Moncav reports.

JBG Gaming is a new esports organization founded by “German rap duo Felix ‘Kollegah’ Blume and Farid ‘Farid Bang’ Hamed El Abdellaoui,” Moncav writes.
