VENN was going to launch this fall, but will be moved up to July. Co-CEO Ben Kusin said, “This is an opportunity that’s born from chaos.” VENN dubs themselves the new MTV for games and gamers. Nintendo is halting all shipments of the Nintendo Switch. The company has not decided when it will be able to resume shipping consoles. Demand for the consoles has soared since the world went into lockdown, especially with kids home from schools. Nintendo manufactures the game consoles mainly in contracted factories in China. “Production continues to be restricted due to the virus outbreak,” a Nintendo official said. The LCS Playoffs will be shown live on ESPN2, and the ESPN App. LoL Esports made the official announcement. This is not the first time that ESPN has put esports on its broadcast; they had a deal with the Overwatch League for season one that intermittently had games shown on ESPN.
